U.S. wheat ending stocks lowest in 60 years (World-Grain.com, December
11, 2007) WASHINGTON, D.C., U.S. — The U.S. Department of Agriculture's World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report, issued on Dec. 11, indicated that the United States' (U.S.) projected ending stocks, estimated at 280 million bushels, would be the lowest in 60 years. The most recent report projected U.S. wheat ending stocks for 2007-08 32 million bushels lower this month, reflecting higher expected domestic use and exports. Domestic food use is projected 5 million bushels higher this month based on the latest mill grind data reported by the U.S. Bureau of Census. |
